  • I offer stellar copy services that include researching, drafting, and delivering well-crafted and on-brand content, leading rebranding initiatives,  creating social media calendars and content, drafting engaging newsletters, email campaigns, blog posts,  grant writing, etc. 

  • Key wins include: completing the Brand Bible for Thread Beauty, a Black-owned, woman-owned makeup brand that debuted in Target stores in 2022. This included drafting a mission statement, tone do's and don'ts, product taglines and descriptions (“blend it,” “cover it,” and “face it” on homepage), brand taglines, launch campaign and web copy, etc. In 2022, I also began mentorship as part of my “lift as I climb” career efforts. I mentored my first advisee, a teacher who wanted to break into copywriting in tech. After four months of working together, she secured a role as a Copywriter at Delta Airlines where she’s currently thriving. I also secured a $125,000 Gilead Grant for United Roots of Oakland for Q4 2021.

Feb. 2022 - June 2022

  • Working with the Content Director, I was responsible for using Webflow and WordPress to craft, refine, and iterate on how best to communicate Hubilo's brand. I managed the copywriting process on multiple projects, using Asana project management of each stage and communicating regularly and clearly with my team of five writers.

  • Partnered with the Growth, Lifecycle, Performance, and Product Marketing Teams to continuously test and improve copy, driving for higher conversion rates.

  • Provided coaching when copy edits were needed; helped  ensure that content captured our target messaging and core values.

  • Developed the Hubilo voice–confident, smart, relatable, and clear–by writing compelling copy across the entire buying journey for different personas and touch points.

  • Key wins include: Contributed numerous blog pieces (examples here and here) and  assisted with rewriting the website, including all video customer stories.

  • Helped with company revamp of the bulk of internal and external-facing learning materials during org-wide rebrand and software consolidation (GREENFIELD).

  • Engaged in content strategy via email journey mapping and A/B testing of copy; created personas that captured the traits of our target demographic(s) to anticipate behaviors and increase reach and success of campaigns.

  • Worked with subject matter experts at all levels to develop manuals  for new product offerings including guides for Risk, Safety, & Claims, insurance partners, and OSHA.

  • Crafted engaging, emotive short and long-form content for everything from scripts for fiscal year end SLT videos, to conference game apps, new product brochures, The VIBE newsletter, and championed numerous BRG initiatives. 

  • Drafted technical copy for external client emails including tax guides, SOP manuals, benefits, payroll and compliance ad hocs, and software update guides.

  • Wrote microcopy that included buttons, pop-ups, captivating subject lines, titles, headlines, and 404 error messages.

  • Key wins include: authoring the MyLife Advisor “Surprise and Delight” and “Service” campaigns, which resulted in an increase in the MyLife Advisor Team’s Net Promoter Score by a full point in the first year.
